Tech giant Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its flagship Samsung Galaxy S24 series which will include 3 models: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+And Galaxy S24 Ultra. Details regarding the design, build and specifications of the Galaxy S24 smartphones have been circulating for months now and the latest development was the leak of the launch date. Reports claim that Samsung will launch the Galaxy S24 series in San Hose, California on January 17, 2024. The smartphones will go up for pre-order on the same day, while an open sale may take place on January 30.
While we wait for Samsung to confirm these dates, Tipster Ice Universe has shared information on RAM options for the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung Galaxy S24 series: Advanced RAM options
Reliable Tipster Ice Universe shared a tweet that claims that Samsung Galaxy S24 will have an 8GB RAM option, while Samsung Galaxy S24+ will have 8GB and 12GB RAM options. Regarding the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultrait will also get 8GB and 12GB RAM options, unlike previous reports which claimed a 16GB RAM option.
The latest leak is disappointing as fans were expecting Samsung to increase the RAM to at least 16GB. The comments section below the tweet is filled with disappointed reactions, with some also claiming that Samsung won’t do anything regarding RAM until ‘Apple will not offer 12 GB of RAM. Others think Samsung should at least improve wireless charging speeds and more, if not RAM.
Overall, Samsung offering a maximum of 12GB of RAM will be considered a shortcoming of the Galaxy S24 series when it launches.

Various reports have revealed the specifications of the 3 smartphones that are part of the Galaxy S24 series. The standard model of the Galaxy S24 is said to sport a 6.1-inch FHD+ display, while the Plus model will have a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED panel, and the Ultra boasts of a 6.7-inch WQHD+ AMOLED panel. 8 inches with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and HDR10+. All three smartphones are rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets, depending on regions. India is most likely to contract the Exynos variant. The Galaxy S24 series will run One UI 6 software based on Android 14. In terms of cameras, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a 200MP+12MP+10MP+3x quad zoom camera setup, while the standard and above versions will have 50MP+10MP+12MP sensors. The S24 Ultra could pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
