Samsung Won’t Rebrand Its Exynos Chips Anytime Soon: Report،

Recently, a tipster claimed that Samsung might rename its Exynos line of chipsets to “Dream Chip.” The company has released many Exynos-branded processors over the years, the latest being the Exynos 2400 unveiled at System LSI Tech Day 2023. The flagship chipset has a main core clocked at 3.1 GHz and rivals the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SoC). There are also several other Exynos chipsets that power a wide range of Samsung smartphones, from entry-level models to flagships.

Dream is the name of an internal project: Samsung

According to a report by Android Authority, the rumor regarding the chipset rebranding is not true. Instead, the brand name mentioned, “Dream,” is an internal project name, Samsung Semiconductor confirms to the publication. This clarifies that the company will not change the name of its chipsets anytime soon. However, that doesn’t rule out the possibility that the company might consider rebranding elsewhere.

It is important to mention that two Exynos 2400 smartphones are already in the works and could be released soon. We are talking about the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus, which are set to accompany the Galaxy S24 Ultra which will be released in January 2024. Unlike most flagship chipsets on the market, the Exynos 2400 SoC is a 10-core chipset, with the main core clocked at 3.1 GHz, two performance cores at 2.9 GHz, three balanced cores at 2.6 GHz, and four efficient cores at 1.8 GHz.
