OnePlus 12 Renders And Teaser Leaked Ahead Of Launch،
OnePlus 12, an upcoming Android flagship, is one of the most promising Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones. The company has already confirmed the release date of the phone, which happens to be December 5, 2023. Additionally, OnePlus also revealed the first look of the phone on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. However, apart from the teaser uploaded by the company, tipsters have also leaked high-quality renders of the upcoming smartphone.
OnePlus 12 renders leaked
Known tipster Evan Blass has leaked images of the OnePlus 12. The high-quality renders feature the upcoming Android flagship in three colors: solid white, textured green, and black. The image shows the phone has a punch-hole camera cutout on the front and a relatively thick chin at the bottom in an otherwise edge-to-edge (slightly curved at the edges) display. Additionally, the power/volume buttons are on the right side, while the iconic alert slider is on the left.
The rear panel also houses the main design element of the smartphone: the circular camera cutout with two regular cameras and a periscope lens. At first glance, the module looks similar to that of the OnePlus 11. However, a closer look reveals that the camera module of the OnePlus 12 has a sharp circular edge. Instead of all the sensors being on the same level under a sheet of glass, each camera sensor has a separate housing that protrudes from the back panel.
The camera module also has Hasselblad branding on the left, indicating that the partnership remains intact. In the center of the back panel is the OnePlus branding. Plus, the phone looks a lot like its predecessor, which is true for most flagships. On the one hand, this approach helps brands create a unique identity. Conversely, consumers often complain about little to no innovation in later smartphones.
Official OnePlus 12 teaser
Another tipster who goes by the name @OnLeaks on X (formerly) known as Twitter has the official trailer of the OnePlus 12. The company posted it earlier this morning on Weibo. It begins with a close-up of a shiny metal watch where the minute hand moves from the number 11 to the number 12, indicating the time of the new flagship’s arrival. Then the watch face transforms into the rear camera module of the smartphone. The video also appears to tease the phone’s new periscope lens, as it contains a dedicated photo.
OnePlus 12 global launch could happen in January 2024
According to a translated Weibo post, the OnePlus 12 product launch conference will take place on December 5, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. However, the smartphone might not go global until January 2024. When the phone is released, it will compete with rivals like iQoo 12, Pixel 8, Galaxy S23, and iPhone 15.
OnePlus 12 specs leaked
Multiple reports suggest that the OnePlus 12 will come with a 6.82-inch 2K OLED LTPO display supporting 120Hz display and 2,600 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM. Additionally, the phone could also feature a 5,400mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
As for optics, the OnePlus 12 will feature a triple camera setup, including a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 64 MP telephoto camera. On the front, users could also get a 32 MP selfie shooter. However, all these specifications are still leaked and customers have to wait for the company to confirm them.
