Additionally, the company also announced the number of Android and security updates it will get. Although the smartphone has already arrived in the Chinese market, it is expected to arrive in India on December 12, 2023.

The company’s CEO announced that iQoo 12 will get three years of Android updates and four years of security updates. While this isn’t something we’ve ever seen before, it’s a good sign for customers who will get three to four years of software support from the company.

For reference, Samsung has promised to provide four generations of Android updates and five years of security updates for the Galaxy S23 series. On the other hand, Google set the bar too high, promising seven years of Android and security updates for the latest Pixel 8 series.

The iQoo 12 features a 6.78-inch display that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4nm) SoC. The phone’s memory and storage options range up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The phone has three cameras on the rear panel, including a 50 MP (f/1.7) primary sensor, a 64 MP (f/2.6) telephoto sensor, and a 50 MP (f/2. 0). The front camera of the smartphone is a 16 MP (f/2.5) selfie shooter. Other features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, a USB Type-C port, and a 4,800mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging.
