iQOO Neo 9 Series leaks shed light on design & key specs،
Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is gearing up for its new launch – the iQOO Neo 9 series which brings together the iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. Both devices have undergone several rounds of public certification as their launch approaches and we now have schematics for the devices and some key information courtesy of a reputable tipster.
iQOO Neo 9 series schematics and key information leaked
The drawings along with information from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo paint a picture of what we can expect from the upcoming duo.
The drawings show, as usual, a perforated cutout at the front. There’s not much going on on the front, other than the fact that the iQOO Neo 9 series is supposed to have narrower bezels and the design reflects the same. Both devices will have narrow dimensions, which means a reduced width which should make them easier to hold. Additionally, the four-curved glass back cover will again try to make your grip on the device easier.
The iQOO Neo 9 series is expected to replace the plastic middle frame with a metal one, so it’s another upgrade to the near-flagship device. Apart from that, DCS says the phones will have a two-tone combination or two-tone rear panels, and perhaps the bifurcation like in the schematics could reflect the same.
The rear camera assembly contains three sensors housed in two square camera bumps that ooze a little above the panel. Chinese smartphone maker iQOO is focusing on improving the performance of the Neo 9 series (compared to the Neo 8 series) and hence the finalized spec sheet will reflect the same.
iQOO Neo 9 series specifications (expected)
Well, we have a list of specifications for the upcoming iQOO Neo 9 series including iQOO Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro. The non-Pro variant is expected to come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC plus 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM. On the contrary, iQOO Neo 9 Pro will likely receive a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC plus 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
FuntouchOS 14, powered by Android 14, carries over the global variant while the Chinese variant carries over OriginOS 14. Both devices are expected to receive a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any dates for the IQOO Neo 9 series yet. As a reminder, the iQOO Neo 7 series arrived in February 2023, followed by the Neo 8 series in May 2023, which means the iQOO Neo 9 series will probably arrive sooner. We hope it will be before the end of this year or early next year, let’s take that with a pinch of salt.
