In September 2023, Apple launched the iPhone 15 series with four models, including the vanilla iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Of these, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus appear to offer better value for money, mainly because they bring several features from the iPhone 14 Pro to the standard model. At the time of launch, Apple, along with other e-commerce platforms, introduced many offers to promote sales. However, just two months after its launch, the latest iPhone is available at a significant discount.

Customers can get the latest iPhone 15 for Rs. 9,999. 5,000 off

At the time of launch, the iPhone 15 was selling at Rs. 9,999. 79,900 for the 128GB variant. However, in an ongoing deal, Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart is dropping the phone for Rs. 9,999. 74,900. However, there is a catch. To avail the Rs. 5,000 discount, users must have an HDFC Bank credit card. For those who have the required card, the discount applies to both EMI and non-EMI transactions. Flipkart is also offering the same discount to HDFC Bank debit card holders (applicable only on EMI transactions).

This is how instant discount and EMI discount works

HDFC Bank credit card holders can also opt for a six-month no-cost EMI on the latest iPhone 15. A complete breakdown on Flipkart’s iOS app suggests that the effective price of the phone remains Rs. 9,999. 74,999 (discounted price + safety packaging charges), and monthly installments are Rs. 74,999 (discounted price + security packaging charges), and monthly installments are Rs. 12,500 for six months, which is the eligible duration for the no-cost EMI.

Flipkart clarifies that the interest charged by the bank, which in this case is Rs. 3,380, is reduced as an upfront discount to control the price of the phone. Therefore, the initial amount that will be blocked on customers’ cards will be Rs. 71,619. However, customers would still have to pay Rs. 9,999. 199 as a one-time processing fee.

Similarly, the iPhone 15 Plus is also available at an effective price of Rs. 9,999. 84,900 after applying HDFC bank discount, applicable on all colors and storage variants of the smartphone.
