iOS 17.1.2 on the way to fix Wi-Fi connectivity issues on iPhones

Apple launched iOS 17 in September 2023 and since then it has received mixed reviews from users claiming it as one of the best while others struggle with the various issues targeting a subset of users. One such issue is Wi-Fi connectivity and speeds that have been affecting iPhone users after upgrading to iOS 17. It looks like we can finally expect an update that will fix this issue.

Apple is working on the next iterative update called iOS 17.1.2 (at least internally). The update is set to succeed iOS 17.1.1 which failed to address issues with Wi-Fi connectivity and low speeds, even as the Cupertino-based giant did everything possible to resolve the issue. issue.

iOS 17.1.2 is set to fix Wi-Fi issues although the release date is not available. We expect the update to be available on iPhones next week. Indeed, the incremental iOS 17.2 is expected to drop by December, which will give Apple a small window to implement the update.

iOS 17.1.2 will not only fix the Wi-Fi issue but bring some bug fixes and additional features. As usual, the rollout will begin as soon as the update arrives and if automatic updates are enabled, the phone should install it immediately. Users are prompted to install it or they can go to Settings >> General >> Software Update >> Automatic Updates >> if iOS 17.1.2 is available, then “Download”.

Speaking of iOS 17.2, the incremental update has been in beta for a month now. It is expected to arrive in mid-December and will bring features like the Translate option for the action button and spatial video recording to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
