All of a sudden, we’ve been hearing a lot about the iPhone SE 4, the next iteration of Apple’s line of budget phones. We expect the device to look similar to the base iPhone 14 model, with one very important exception thanks to the single camera that is expected to be on the back of the phone. Designer 4RMD created a concept render of the iPhone SE 4 which actually looks like iPhone14 down to the TrueDepth camera notch at the top of the screen. Yes the iPhone SE4 would be the first SE model to feature the notch.
One big change is the number of cameras on the back. Instead of the two which adorn the iPhone14there is only one 48MP camera on the iPhone SE4 with the ability to record videos in 4K. Other photography-based features included in this concept are Night Mode, Macro Photography for extreme close-ups, and Cinematic Mode. The latter allows users to record with a shallow depth of field and provide focus transitions like those seen in movies or on television.
THE iPhone SE4 The concept render includes a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 3,240 mAh battery. This is a slight drop from the 3,279 mAh battery capacity of the iPhone14 but that’s a nice bump from the iPhone SE 3’s 2018 mAh battery capacity, modeled after the iPhone 8.

Surprisingly, the latest rumor claims the iPhone SE4 to showcase the action button found on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. This is also mentioned in the concept rendering video. With the action button, a iPhone 15 Pro The series user can choose which task will be activated when the button is pressed. These options currently include:

  • Accessibility feature
  • Magnifying glass
  • Flash light
  • Camera
  • To focus
  • Silent mode
  • Voice memo
  • Shortcut
  • No action
Ironically, this is a feature not found on the iPhone14, or even the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The concept render includes the new USB-C charging port and the video created by the designer indicates that the phone will charge to 50% in just 30 minutes.
It should be noted that this notion iPhone SE4 is powered by the 4nm A16 Bionic, the chipset that currently powers the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The designer included an imaginary release date of November 2024 with his concept rendering as well as an imaginary price of $499. Apple gave the iPhone SE3 an actual launch price of $429 when it releases in March 2022.
