Mourinho tells Ancelotti: Don’t leave Real Madrid for Brazil،

Jose Mourinho has advised Carlo Ancelotti against leaving Real Madrid, saying the Italian would be a “crazy man” if he gave up his role in the Spanish capital.

The president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) claimed in July that Ancelotti would coach the men’s national team at the 2024 Copa America in the United States, although no contract has been signed between the two parts.

In an interview with Italian media outlet TG1, Mourinho said: “I think only a madman would leave Real Madrid while he is still wanted.

“I am certain that at the first sign from Florentino [Perez, Madrid’s president]Carlo will stay, because he is perfect for Real Madrid and Real Madrid is perfect for him.”

The Roma coach also said he was the only “crazy” person to leave his job at Madrid despite Perez’s support, and reiterated his intention to coach in Saudi Arabia at some point, amid of uncertainty about his future at Roma.

His contract at the Serie A club expires at the end of the season.

“Will I stay at Roma? I don’t know,” Mourinho said, pointing out that his recent conversations with Roma owner Dan Friedkin had focused on this year rather than the future.

“To tell the truth, I think that one day I will go [to Saudi Arabia]”, the Portuguese coach added later. “But when I say ‘one day’, I’m not talking about today or tomorrow.

In October, Mourinho told broadcaster MBC Egypt, which is owned by Saudi Arabia’s MBC Group, that he was “convinced” he would coach in the Gulf country at some point.
