Google’s Pixel phones are known for their aesthetics. And it’s not just the physical design of these phones that sets them apart from other models; It’s also the easy to use user interface, where wallpapers play a crucial role. While it’s pretty easy to overlook the work that goes into designing wallpapers that complement the look and feel of Pixel phones, publications have stopped that from happening by providing coverage, and now it’s our turn. Pixel 8a Minerals wallpaper collection
Once again, Google has turned to Andrew Zuckerman to create the “Minerals” collection for its Pixel 8a series. It contains three new wallpapers, each having a light and dark variant to complement the overall display settings of the device. Pixel 8a wallpapers names and colors are given below. Please keep in mind that the preview images are not high quality because we had to compress them. Nevertheless, we have also attached the high-quality versions at the end of this article so that you can download and experience the mineral aesthetic of the Pixel 8a on your phone.
Pixel 8a Titanite Wallpapers
Titanite wallpapers are codenamed “emerald”. They feature a green emerald stone in two variations: light and dark (click to download the high quality version).
Pixel 8a Barite Wallpapers
Barite wallpapers are codenamed “sky” because they highlight a sky blue mineral. This also comes in two versions: light and dark (click to download the high quality version). Interestingly, it was the same color we saw in the leaked images of the Pixel 8a. The Pixel 8 Pro’s “Bay” color was also codenamed “sky,” so it’s possible the final names are the same.
Hematite Pixel 8a Wallpapers
Hematite wallpapers are codenamed “licorice” and highlight the mineral in a dark black hue. Light and dark versions of this wallpaper are available for preview (click to download the high quality version). The Pixel 8’s obsidian color was also codenamed “licorice.”
Apart from this, the Pixel 8a could also feature two “porcelain” wallpapers. These could be inspired by the Porcelain finish we saw on the Pixel Fold. You can also download the light and dark versions.
Antti Kalevi’s pattern illustration could also make its way to the final collection
There is another illustration that might be featured in the final Pixel 8a wallpapers collection. Designed by Antti Kalevi, a Finnish artist, the illustration appears to be a recolored version of a wallpaper from the Motif collection that has been a part of Pixel phones since the Pixel 6.
