Google Bard can now understand the content inside YouTube videos،
Google’s Bard once again benefits from a very useful update as part of its experimental extensions. As announced yesterdayBard’s YouTube extension will now understand what’s happening in a specific video, allowing Bard to be asked more in-depth questions about it.
Bard introduced its “Extensions” earlier this year to expand the AI knowledge base to include your information from other Google apps such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Maps, Hotels, Flights and YouTube. Enabling these extensions gave Bard permission to access information from these sources to help respond to you and thus provide you with a more personalized experience.
However, as pointed out 9to5Google, Google is combining the previously launched YouTube experience that allows Premium subscribers to “ask” questions about a video in the YouTube app, with an update to the YouTube Bard extension. This update will allow you to ask Bard questions about the videos you watch, and he will be able to answer them. This new feature is part of Google’s efforts to make Bard more useful for everyday tasks. Bard is already capable of answering questions on a variety of topics, but like any AI chatbot, it’s not perfect. In the example shown above, Bard had difficulty discerning that the conversation was taking place between two smartphones (a Google Pixel and an iPhone) and not between two sisters, as he indicated once I requested more information.
