Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Visits Geekbench 4،

Samsung is gearing up to launch another mid-range smartphone in its Galaxy M series. The latest entrant, the Galaxy M54 5G, may soon get a successor as the Galaxy M55 5G appears to have appeared on popular benchmarking platform Geekbench. Here’s everything the list suggests, including the phone’s processor, memory, and the Android version it’s running on.

Geekbench 4 reveals Galaxy M55 5G details

The Geekbench 4 database contains four entries under the model number “SM-M556B”, where “M55” suggests the mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy M55 5G. All announcements appeared on November 21, 2023. Typically, smartphones appear on Geekbench just before their launch, which suggests that Samsung could be preparing to release the M55 5G.

The listing reveals that the Galaxy M55 5G has an octa-core processor with a base frequency of 1.80 GHz. The model that appeared carried 8 GB of total RAM (of which 6.87 GB appears usable). Finally, the model runs Android 14, with the addition of the company’s custom UI.

Galaxy M55 5G benchmark scores leaked

Citing four different benchmark results, the Galaxy M55 5G scores 3,575 to 3,647 points in the single-core test and 10,444 to 11,437 points in the multi-core performance test. Based on the CPU configuration and Geekbench results, the Galaxy M55 5G could be equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It is important to mention that these are Geekbench 4 results, so they should not be compared to the results of more recent versions.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC has four efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, three performance cores at 2.36 GHz, and one main core at 2.4 GHz. For those catching up, the processor is slightly more powerful than the Snapdragon 778G found in several 2022 mid-range phones, including the Nothing Phone (1).

The Galaxy M55 5G will take after the M54 5G

The Galaxy M54 5G is the successor to Samsung’s Galaxy M54 5G, released in March 2023. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, runs on the Exynos 1380 SoC, and comes with 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage. The phone also has a triple camera setup that has a 108 MP sensor. There is a good chance that the M55 5G could borrow some of its specifications from its predecessor, with slight improvements.
