Xiaomi Redmi K70E teasers reveal key specs; To be rebranded as POCO F6 5G،
Xiaomi has started teasing the Redmi K70E, part of the Redmi K70 series in China, which is expected to arrive by the end of this month in China. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC which debuted on Tuesday. It turns out that the phone will be renamed POCO F6 5G and launched in India in a few weeks. Let’s take a closer look at what the K70E will bring and without a doubt, the POCO F6 5G is expected to bring the same specifications.
Xiaomi Redmi K70E teased
Xiaomi Redmi K70E, part of Redmi’s premium K-series sub-flagship lineup, is launching this month. As an official teaser, it will feature MediaTek Dimensity 8300. The teaser states Dimensity 8300-Ultra for which “Ultra” could imply additional performance or just a marketing thing.
The phone, named 2311DRK48C, will feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,200 nits of peak brightness. There is support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device uses a 5,500mAh battery under the hood paired with 90W wired charging. Its camera technology is expected to be a 64MP OIS plus an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP rear set. The phone weighs around 198g and has a thickness of 8.05mm according to the teasers.
Xiaomi also announced the AnTuTu v10 scores for Redmi K70E at 1,526,328, which is impressive. The flagship Dimensity 9300 SoC managed to break the 2-minute mark, despite the D8300 being a sub-flagship frame phone with generative AI capabilities.
Xiaomi Redmi K70E spotted on IMDA as Poco F6 5G
For all the Indian Xiaomi enthusiasts who are waiting for the Redmi K70E, it will not be launched in India as usual. Instead, it will be renamed Poco F6 5G with model number 2311DRK481, as noted on the IMDA (Singapore) certification, ensuring an imminent launch.
Of course, there is no official link between the K70E and the Poco F6 5G, but we have been following Xiaomi’s launches for ages and there is no doubt that it will rebrand the phones to launch them in India and on global markets.
Reports also suggest that Redmi K70E/ POCO F6 5G sports up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The Dimensity 8300 is capable of supporting Bluetooth v4.0 and 2×2 WiFi 6E, meaning these two models can support it as well. Apart from that, the chipset has improved 5G downlink speeds from 4.70 Gbps (D8200) to 5.17 Gbps, which should be ideal for anyone who loves speed.
Note that we do not have the exact launch date for either the POCO F6 5G or the Redmi K70E. The latter belongs to the Redmi K70 series which includes the K70, K70 Pro and K70E. There are reports on the web that the Redmi K70 series may arrive in China later this month. This means that the Indian launch of the POCO F6 5G could happen in a few weeks, i.e. early 2024, but take it with a grain of salt.
