OnePlus 12 5G to launch in China on December 4: Here’s What One Can Expect،
2024 is about to begin and all the tech giants are gearing up for their big launches which will take place in the first quarter of 2024. OnePlus 12 has been doing the rounds for quite a while now and the wait is officially over with the launch date . for OnePlus 12 5G has been confirmed. OnePlus 12 5G will launch in China on December 4 at 7 p.m. CST. OnePlus China President Li Jie Louis announced the news via Weibo. The global launch of the OnePlus 12 will follow soon after, most likely in January 2024.
Here’s what we can expect from the OnePlus flagship this time around.
OnePlus 12: expected features and specifications
A few months ago, a leak revealed the camera specifications of the OnePlus 12 smartphone. According to the leak, OnePlus 12 will feature a periscope lens in the camera setup. Recently, OnePlus itself confirmed that there will be a 64 MP periscope lens along with an OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom on the OnePlus 12 5G. There will also be a Sony LYT-808 main sensor.
OnePlus 12 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. It should run OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box. The device is said to sport a 6.7-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the brand has also hinted at a new ProXDR display which will be called X1 Oriental Screen offering a peak brightness of 2600 nits . The screen will have a DisplayMate A+ rating.

Under the hood, OnePlus 12 will most likely pack a 5,000mAh battery with 150W fast charging. Some design renders were leaked in July 2023, according to which the OnePlus 12 will have the same design as the OnePlus 11. The back could get glossier and more color options might be available, but that’s it. Additionally, instead of “Hassleblad”, there might be “H” branding in the rear camera setup.
As the launch is 12 days away, we will surely know more confirmed specifications soon.
