In the latest report, it has been revealed that the company is also working on the launch of the OnePlus Buds 3 alongside the launch of the OnePlus 12 series. According to a discovery on Slashleaks, the FCC listing reveals that the upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 is identified by the model number E509A. Although the exact name is not explicitly mentioned, the certification indicates a semi-in-ear design with silicone tips. The drawings accompanying the certification depict a square-shaped storage and charging case, resembling the design of its predecessor.
The OnePlus Buds 3, according to the FCC details, is expected to feature a 520mAh battery, with each earbud supported by a 58mAh cell, which is in line with previous leaks. Despite the FCC certification providing information on battery specifications, additional details about the audio device remain confidential.
Although the launch date for the OnePlus Buds 3 has not been officially announced, there are indications that they will be unveiled in conjunction with the OnePlus 12. The combined battery life of the case (520 mAh) and earbuds (58 mAh) with ANC on is expected to be 22 hours, extending to 33 hours with ANC off. When used independently, the headphones should offer 6 hours with ANC on and 9 hours with ANC off. A quick 10 minute charge could provide 5 hours of listening time. The earbuds will likely have an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, and the case should be IPX4 rated.
