“Manchester City FC did not pay any wages to Mr Mendy from September 2021, after Mr Mendy was charged with various offenses for which he was later acquitted, until the end of his contract in June 2023. The complaint will be brought before a tribunal. Labor court,” he said in an emailed statement to Reuters.

Mendy, who signed for City from Monaco in 2017, made 75 appearances for the Premier League club and won three titles during his time there. His last appearance for City came against Tottenham Hotspur in August 2021.
